Adelaide Health Care

Adelaide Health Care (previously known as Franklin Street General Practice) opened in 1999 as an independent association of five general practitioners. The practice re-located from 133 Franklin Street in December 2006, due to their need for a larger premises.

At this present time, Adelaide Health Care has 18 General Practitioners. In addition totheir GPs they have 3 general practice nurses working with a focus on preventative health care and chronic disease management.

The clinic's aim is to provide high quality health service to people who live, work or study in the city or nearby suburbs. In addition to the  traditional medical care of illness, Adelaide Health Care promote better health by helping patients to prevent illness and improve well-being, both physically and emotionally. They aim to support patients to learn about their health and healthy living.

Since 2003 the clinic has participated as an accredited training practice for Registrars under the Adelaide to Outback General Practice Training Program. These Registrars are qualified doctors who have completed their hospital based years and are training in the specialty of General Practice.
